Williams Excavating, LLC was founded in 2021, but our experience in excavation began long before the business officially started. Our owner, Jacob Williams, grew up around construction equipment and job sites. His parents poured concrete and built houses, so he was introduced to the work at an early age. By the time he was five years old, he was already learning how to operate a skid steer. At seven years old, he started working with an excavator and gaining real experience around active construction projects.

At sixteen, Jacob purchased a bulldozer and began taking on projects while still in high school. Those early projects helped build the foundation for what would later become Williams Excavating, LLC. Today, our team brings over 9 years of experience to excavation and site development projects across Statesville, NC, and surrounding communities.

Our work focuses on helping residential and commercial property owners move projects forward with dependable excavation, grading, septic installation, utilities, and paving. We provide complete site packages that take projects from raw land to finished infrastructure. This includes clearing land, managing dirt work, installing drainage and utilities, and completing paving or concrete work.

One of the main reasons Williams Excavating was started was to raise the standard of work in the local excavation industry. Too often, property owners receive low bids at the start of a project only to face unexpected charges later. Our approach is different. We perform very detailed quoting before the project begins so we can anticipate potential issues and give accurate pricing. Because the quote is built carefully, the price we provide is the price the customer pays.

We also approach every project with foresight. By identifying potential problems early, we can address them before they become major obstacles for our clients. This helps projects move more smoothly and prevents unnecessary delays or unexpected work.

Our team operates multiple pieces of equipment and works with a growing crew of skilled operators to handle projects efficiently. From septic system installation to land clearing, grading, demolition, drainage systems, underground utilities, paving, and trucking, we help property owners complete projects with a single team that understands the full process.

We are also properly licensed and qualified for the work we perform. Williams Excavating, LLC holds a Grade Level 4 Septic Installer certification, which is the highest level available in North Carolina, along with a General Contractor license and a Water and Sewer license. We are also an SBE NCDOT Qualified Bidder and fully insured.
